But I just hope you don’t. because, for some people, it’s a downward spiral. And an easy one. And lets keep in mind that it can take 6 months for it to start working, fail, and you may need to mother to ANOTHER drug. And then there is side effects. All the best, Brooke xx

They’re really good. Honestly). And then counselling. On to of that, exercise releases endorphins and allows you to deal with stress (though I hate exercise and stuck to the former three). Mind you, music releases endorphins #3

Anonymous said: Is it stress induced, situational anxiety? I have had anxiety/depression before and have a parent who has suffered her whole life with it. My advice is do not take medication if you can help it. Please. Once you rely on it, its the norm. If you can seek help through relaxation exercises (which helped me, as hippisih as it sounds) and counselling (your univeristy/school/government) should offer it free), try that first. Try to solve anxiety, if it is situational or #1

I am going to post this all on my blog so it can help others if need be

i don’t get anxious in any situations, i mean i did just come off a heavy study schedule for exams so maybe it is a residual from that and has built up? thanks though, i am going to just try to relax and maybe try some meditation or whatever because at the moment i feel like if i took medication i would be giving into it instead of trying to mentally get over it myself. Today is the first day i haven’t had to take a valium to calm myself so i guess that is a subtle progress

thanks for the info xx :)

advice/chat pls

i’ve never been an anxious or depressed person, i’m pretty calm in general. So i was completely caught off guard on wednesday and thursday when i started experiencing my first ever panic attacks (I DNT KNOW WHY) and so yeah since wednesday i’ve felt a bit anxious because i am scared it will happen again

will this feeling pass or what, they gave me a prescription for valium for the attacks and an antidepressant but i really don’t want to take the antidepressant in case it is not necessary? should i just give it another week to see how i feel i really hope this is a once off

OK BYE
